Filmmakers' Biographies _______________________

JAIME VALLÉS (Co-Director, Co-Producer, Co-Writer) - Jaime graduated in 1999 from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, concentrating in drawing and painting. He then moved to New York City to pursue his career in the arts. Jaime began by designing publicity materials for the Society of the Educational Arts, a bilingual children’s theater company. He soon became the resident graphic designer for award-winning Off-Off Broadway producer, Prospect Theater Company. In addition to the visual arts, he performed with Prospect and currently sings with New York City Opera. Jaime has now brought together his training in the visual and performing arts for his newest venture, Lirica Inc., co-founded with his brother in 1999 and based in their hometown of San Juan, Puerto Rico. Lirica is proud to present CASI CASI, its first feature film.

TONY VALLÉS (Co-Director, Co-Producer, Co-Writer) - Tony, a native of San Juan, Puerto Rico, graduated from Princeton University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Italian Literature and Language and a Certificate from the Program in Theater and Dance. He worked in theater and television production in Puerto Rico before moving to New York City to found Prospect Theater Company. As Prospect’s Director of Communications, Tony co-produces award-winning Off-Off Broadway plays and new musicals. While working with Prospect, he was the head of the Rehearsal Departments of both the Metropolitan Opera and New York City Opera. An avid classical singer, he has performed with Ópera de Puerto Rico, Opera Festival of New Jersey, and, most recently, New York City Opera. Tony has also performed with S.E.A. (Society of the Educational Arts), helping to bring bilingual arts education into New York City public and parochial schools. Tony’s diverse artistic background and love of film drew him and his brother to found Lirica Inc., a film production company established in Puerto Rico. His first film is the romantic comedy-caper CASI CASI.

VICTORIA RACIMO (Executive Producer) - Victoria is currently Producer of and Co-writer with Mark Medoff on the film CLEMENTE about baseball great, Roberto Clemente. Victoria has been commissioned to write and direct a musical drama for the 400th Anniversary Celebration entitled JOURNEY OF DESTINY, about the founding of the Settlement at Jamestown in 1607, to be staged for an audience of 30,000. It will also be televised nationally May 13, 2007. She is also developing an opera based on the classic film ON THE WATERFRONT. Victoria wrote two animation television specials; A TOUCAN CAN starring Jason Alexander and Donna Summer and PIRATE JACK AND THE LEGEND OF HALLOWEEN starring Alice Cooper. As producer, she developed and sold to NBC the teleplay SIGNIFICANT OTHERS and was Producer/Co-Writer of the original story SERGEANT RECKLESS which was put into development at Columbia Pictures as a feature. LIRICA INC. was established in 1999 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Founded by Jaime and Tony Vallés, Lirica is committed to the production of quality films, and aims to captivate and entertain audiences both in its home country and in the international marketplace. Lirica’s first feature film, CASI CASI, was completed in 2006. Lirica is now developing several new film projects for the coming years.
